Turning the barren earth into a true "Oasis"! Pulling together over 150 volunteers to install over 2.5 miles of underground irrigation and plant and stake over 400 trees. Each house received a small orchard of 10 fruit trees as well as shade trees. The street and play areas were planted with an assortment of shade trees and palm trees.
Ground Breaking
Over 2.5 miles of underground irrigation was planned, cut and installed to insure the growth of the new planting.

During the "Play Dirty, Plant Trees" project we also ran a well baby clinic with the help of volunteer US doctors!
Every tree was protected from gopher damage by hand made wire mesh baskets.
